We're getting settled in our new house. Things are still in disarray but settling down enough that I can finally find all of the essentials. I adore our cozy, cute little place, our yard full of flowers, and the quiet, tree-lined streets in our new neighborhood. I feel so grateful and happy!
My little girls also "graduated" from elementary school in recent weeks, and I've loved spending lots of time on field trips, programs, and end of school sleepovers. These two are just everything, and my only regret is that I can't slow time down enough to feel as though I can take it all in.
Now that I've been able to find most of my crafty supplies and have unpacked enough not to feel guilty spending some time relaxing, I was able to dig out one of my My Creative Scrapbook kits featuring My Mind's Eye Now and Then Collection and let the creative juices flow ... all over the kitchen table for hours and hours!
I spent a little time with my Copics coloring this adorable digital stamp from Tiddly Inks and my On Film dies from Stampin' Up.
Since I had my On Film dies out, I used this super cute camera from the die cut pieces in the MME collection and used stickers to create a cute sentiment on the outside. I left the inside blank so I can use this card for a belated birthday or a foot-in-mouth apology, both of which will be useful in my stash.
I was having so much fun with this cute set that I broke out the photo box and the sketch from the kit and did a layout as well. (These kits are so huge ... I can seriously make a ton more projects just from one of them!) The wood grain paper in this collection was my favorite, so I matched it with two of my favorite portraits of my daughters. What other subject could I choose?
Thanks for visiting after my long hiatus. I hope you're having a wonderful summer!
