Today I decided to break out my inks and get my old school artsy on. I am a huge fan of collage influences, and I found a fun card on Pinterest for inspiration that was just what I needed! Thank you to Kath in Westhill for the little spark today!
I stamped the flower image from Serene Silhouettes repeatedly on a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock and then embossed with white embossing powder to create my resist. Then I sponged Baja Breeze, Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, and Basic Black all over my panel, concentrating the darker colors toward the outside edges. I misted the panel with water and let it dry to create some splatter, and then stamped the text image from the French Foliage stamp set repeatedly on to the background. Then I used a damp paper towel to clean up my embossed image.
I added a sentiment and some gold glitter paper at the bottom, and tied on a bit of twine for some texture. I love the collage effect this process created, and I had lots of fun choosing just the right colors for the feel I was after.
Thanks for stopping by today, friends!!
